06/22/2020: Assailants raided a village and abducted 17 people in Mainankoua, Extreme-North, Cameroon. One hostage was released later the same day, and the fate of the remaining 16 hostages is unknown. This was one of two related attacks in the area on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Boko Haram.
