Incident Summary:
06/25/2020: Assailants attacked security forces in Deh Afghan, Wardak, Afghanistan. This was one of two related incidents in the same district on this date. At least seven people, including three security forces members and four assailants, were killed and eight other assailants were injured across both clashes. In addition, at least seven soldiers were abducted in this attack. The outcome of the kidnapping unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
