Incident Summary:

07/14/2020: Assailants attacked the residence of Salisu Usman, a Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officer, in Gudi, Nasarawa, Nigeria. At least one person, Usman's sister, was killed in the attack while Usman himself and his wife were taken hostage. Usman was killed shortly after the abduction while his wife was released on July 17, 2020 following a ransom payment. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
