Incident Summary:
07/19/2020: Assailants attacked a wedding party in Kukum Daji, Kaduna, Nigeria. At least 21 people were killed and 28 others were injured in the attack. Additionally, an unknown number of people were reported missing and their whereabouts are unknown. This was one of four attacks in Kaura on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Fulani extremists.

The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
