07/31/2020: Assailants abducted Restie Dandan, a police officer, in San Isidro, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. Dandan was killed and his body was discovered on August 18, 2020. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA) Guerrilla Front 16.
