Incident Summary:
08/17/2020: Assailants attacked military personnel in Uthman, Ad Dali, Yemen. This was one of two related attacks in Ad Dali on this date. At least five soldiers were killed and 11 soldiers were injured across both attacks. In addition, the assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
