08/19/2020: An explosive device detonated targeting a National Directorate of Security (NDS) vehicle in the second police district of Puli Khumri, Baghlan, Afghanistan. At least two NDS members were killed and 11 other people, including NDS members and civilians, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
