Incident Summary:

08/19/2020: An assailant crashed his vehicle into at least three motorcycles along the A100 motorway in Tempelhof-Schoeneberg, Berlin, Germany. The assailant was apprehended after exiting his vehicle and placing a metal box on the roof and shouting "no one come closer, or you will all die." Authorities determined that the box did not contain explosives. At least six people were injured in the attack. Sarmad A, an unaffiliated individual, claimed responsibility for the incident through a social media post prior to the attack with an image of the vehicle he used and the term "martyrs." Authorities suspected that the assailant had prior contact with a person linked to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
