Incident Summary:

08/23/2020: Assailants attacked Afghan National Army (ANA) posts in Garziwan district, Faryab, Afghanistan. This was one of three coordinated attacks in Faryab on the same night. At least 39 people, including 32 assailants, five soldiers, and two civilians were killed and an unknown number of people were injured across the three attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.
