Incident Summary:

08/26/2020: Assailants attacked security forces in Baghlani Jadid district, Baghlan, Afghanistan. At least 16 security personnel, including four police officers and 12 pro-government militia members were killed in the attack. In addition, 12 militia members were taken hostage during the attack. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
