08/27/2020: Assailants attacked Malian soldiers on an antipoaching patrol on Konna-Douentza road in Batouma, Mopti region, Mali. At least four soldiers were killed and 12 soldiers were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists.
