09/00/2020: Sometime between September 4, 2020, and September 14, 2020, assailants attacked Wenbera, Metekel district, Benishangul-Gumuz, Ethiopia. This was one of six similar incidents in this area at this time and one of ten during the first half of the month. At least 89 people were killed and an unknown number of others were wounded across all 10 attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
