Incident Summary:

09/21/2020: Assailants abducted three engineers of the water distribution network of Ngongo and a customary chief in Mwanga, Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The engineers, accompanied by the customary chief, were kidnapped on their way to fix the broken water piping system which had been destroyed by assailants earlier. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Patriotic Resistance Front in Ituri (FRPI).
