Incident Summary:

10/25/2020: Assailants abducted Amer Jadaan al-Fahdawy, a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) engineer, in Rutbah district, Al Anbar, Iraq. Al-Fahdawy, who had also previously served as a member of the Iraqi Volunteer Forces, was killed on November 2, 2020. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the victim was part of the "apostate" Popular Mobilization Forces, leading the fight against ISIL.
