10/27/2020: Assailants planted explosive under the body of Sheikh Ali Fadhala al-Kaabi in Khaylaniyah village, Muqdadiyah district, Diyala, Iraq. The device detonated, killing two family member attempting to retrieve the body. This was one of three coordinated attacks in the area on the same day. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was part of their broader "Answer the Call" campaign, which aims to increase attacks globally. Sources also noted that the victims were part of the Bani Kaab tribe, which is involved in the fight against ISIL.

Criteria
Criteria 1
