10/31/2020: Assailants attacked Muambula, Muidumbe district, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The assailants also occupied and damaged a radio station during the attack. At least one person was killed and an unknown number of people were taken hostage. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. This was one of six attacks in this area on this date. The Central Africa Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
