Incident Summary:

11/06/2020: Assailants attacked Muatide, Muidumbe, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. At least 50 civilians were abducted, taken to a football field, and beheaded during the attack and occupation of the town and surrounding area, which lasted until November 8, 2020. In addition, several houses were set on fire during the attack. This was one of three related attacks in the area on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Ansar al-Sunna (Mozambique).
