Incident Summary:

11/11/2020: Assailants attacked civilians at the Philo 14 gold-mining site in Lwemba Bukunji, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least two miners were shot and killed and an unknown number of miners were abducted during the attack. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Twigwaneho militia.
