11/15/2020: Assailants abducted Jagir Bhagat and his wife in Mungo, Lohardaga, Jharkhand, India. Bhagat, a tribal civilian, was killed and his wife was released shortly after the kidnapping. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and accused Baghat of being a police informant.

Additional Information Ravindra Ganjhu, a local Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) commander, was allegedly in charge of the group of perpetrators who committed the attack. The victims included the wife of the Tribal Leader. One of the hostages was killed on November 15, 2020. The remaining victim was released on November 15, 2020.
