Incident Summary:

11/24/2020: An assailant stabbed one civilian and attempted to strangle another at a department store in Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland. Two people were injured in the attack. The assailant, an unaffiliated individual, claimed responsibility for the incident and shouted slogans in reference to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) during the attack.. Sources also noted that the assailant had previously attempted to travel to Syria to allegedly connect with a Muslim extremist.
