Incident Summary:

12/02/2020: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated in the Camp Chapman military base in Khost, Afghanistan. Four Khost Protection Force (KPF) members, three Afghan National Security Force (ANSF) soldiers, and at least six civilians were killed and 20 ANSF soldiers were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the Taliban was involved in the attack. Sources also noted that the attack may have been related to the projected withdrawal of U.S. armed forces from Afghanistan.
