12/11/2020: Assailants attacked security checkpoints and a bridge in Arghandab district, Kandahar, Afghanistan. This was one of four related incidents targeting districts in Kandahar on this date. 90 assailants were killed, and nine others were injured across all attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban, which denied involvement.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
