Incident Summary:

12/00/2020: Sometime between December 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020, assailants abducted five tribal elders from Qarabagh district, Ghazni, Afghanistan. The hostages escaped on January 1, 2021. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban and stated that the elders were attempting to negotiate the release of farmers the Taliban was holding hostage.
