12/15/2020: Assailants attacked Matombi, Irumu, Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This was one of at least two attacks targeting villages in Ituri on this date. At least five people were killed across both attacks and at least one civilian was reported missing. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
