Incident Summary:
12/17/2020: Assailants attacked the convoy of Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha, the Emir of Kaura Namodo, as he was traveling to Kaura Namodo, Zamfara on Zaria-Funtuna Road in Funtua district, Katsina, Nigeria. Eight people, including three police escorts, the Emir’s uncle, and a senior palace chief, were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
