12/17/2020: An explosive device targeting a security checkpoint detonated in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai, Egypt. This was one of two attacks on checkpoints in Sheikh Zuweid on this day. Three Egyptian soldiers were killed and 10 more were wounded across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
