Incident Summary:

12/19/2020: Assailants abducted 80 students as they travelled between Unguwar Al-Kasim and Mahuta villages in Dandume district, Katsina, Nigeria. The hostages were rescued the following day. This was one of two related attacks carried out by the assailants on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
