Adam Martin is a junior researcher with the Geospatial Research Unit at START. He has an Associate degree focused in Physics from Montgomery College and a Bachelor's in Geographical Sciences with a focus on GIS. He will be graduating from the University of Maryland Master of Professional Studies for Geospatial Information Science in May 2021.
Martin enjoys solving challenging problems and is interested in geospatial analysis and modeling related to data science, geopolitical national security, ecological studies and renewable technologies. He is also interested in how machine learning methods can be combined with geospatial algorithms to more efficiently process and derive deeper insights from big data. He also has interests in amateur astronomy and artificial intelligence.
