Decisions in disaster recovery operations

Abstract:

The April 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the fertilizer plant explosion in West Texas emphasize  the need to be prepared for emergency response by everyone at all times and in all places.  Rapid response, wide-spread information flow, social media, and first-responder coordination are essential for providing much-needed medical services to victims, restoring order to chaos, and bringing perpetrators to justice, where applicable.
