In Van Munching Hall's SPP Atrium at noon Oct. 28, Ukrainian Ambassador Olexander Motsyk will speak about the current situation in Ukraine as part of the Maryland Global Leaders lecture series. The university's Office of International Affairs and the School of Public Policy co-host the series, which brings various leaders, diplomats and other notable visitors to the campus. The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested. Pizza and beverages will be served.
Motsyk has served as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States since 2010 and has served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of both Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda with Residence in the U.S. His written works include articles and essays regarding international relations and international law.
