On Tuesday, March 10 at 1:00pm, START Director William Braniff will give a lecture titled "A Tale of Two Caliphates” at START Headquarters. Prior to becoming START's Director, Braniff served as the Director of Practitioner Education and an Instructor at West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center (CTC). He is a graduate of both the United States Military Academy, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where he received a master’s degree in international relations. Braniff lectures frequently for counterterrorism audiences including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Joint Special Operations University, National Defense University, the United States Attorneys’ Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In June of 2013, he testified before Congress on American attitudes towards terrorism and counterterrorism.
