JOB OPPORTUNITY: Senior Researcher (Faculty)

The START Consortium and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) at the University of Maryland is currently seeking to hire a faculty member (rank open) who will be half time at START and half time in one of the academic departments within BSOS. This is a tenured or tenure stream position.

Responsibilities: Commensurate with the level of effort, the incumbent will be expected to perform the research, education and service duties of the tenure granting department but also to take a lead role in the research and education mission of the START Consortium, including identifying and pursuing new research opportunities and contributing to START's educational programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in field related to terrorism studies, preferably in a traditional social-science discipline.

The rank for this position is open and the salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's level of experience.
