Braniff briefs INSCOM

START Executive Director William Braniff was recently invited to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) to serve as a guest speaker during its Commander’s Conference. The conference aims to express to key leaders the ongoing and emerging initiatives that significantly impact the vision and direction of US Army Intelligence operations; domestically and in combat theaters of operation.

Though it’s rare for people external to the Army or Intelligence Community to be invited, Braniff was asked to deliver a lecture about START research and his understanding of global jihadism and its evolution. His talk was based on his publication, “A Tale of Two Caliphates.”

About 90-100 senior leaders within INSCOM, as well as many of the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) G2s, who are stationed internationally, were in attendance.
