START seeking 2014 Outstanding Article Award nominations

2014 OUTSTANDING ARTICLE AWARD FOR SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE RESEARCH ON TERRORISM AND RESPONSES TO TERRORISM 

Application Deadline: May 15, 2014

The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) Outstanding Article Award honors exceptional contributions made by START-affiliated scholars in article form. The award is given annually for the peer-reviewed article that makes the most outstanding contribution to research on the human causes and consequences of terrorism. The 2014 Awards Committee will consider all articles nominated by START researchers from and published in relevant academic journals any time since the start of the 2012 calendar year. 

Members of the Awards Committee will not be eligible for the award on the year that they serve on the Committee. 

To nominate an article, please send full citation information for the article and a brief discussion of your reasons for the recommendation in 500 words or fewer.  The winner of the award will be publicly recognized and congratulated at the START Annual Meeting in 2014.

The members of 2014 Awards Committee include Jon Wilkenfeld (Chair), Martha Crenshaw, Arie Kruglanski, Brent Smith and Monica Schoch-Spana.
